Whiplash made his appearance in the movie “Iron Man 2”. His real name is Ivan Vanko, whose father was once a partner of Howard Stark. However, due to his excessive greed, he was expelled by Howard Stark and bore the grudge until his death. Ivan decided to bring down Stark Industries to avenge his father.
Vanko first used the Arc Reactor technology left by his father to develop a set of Whiplash armor and ambushed Tony on the racetrack. However, he was defeated by Tony equipped with the MK5 armor and was sent to prison.
He was later rescued by Justin Hammer, a competitor of Stark Industries. Vanko secretly manufactured a new set of Whiplash armor using Hammer Industries’ resources and made significant upgrades. He once suppressed Iron Man and War Machine with his strong defense and offensive power. This Whiplash, like Iron Monger, is 9 inches, 1:10 scale, and the eyes and the chest reactor can light up. The Whiplash armor was modified from Hammer Industries’ Iron Legion, so you can see many welding traces on the skirt armor, chest armor, and even the helmet. You can also see many exposed hydraulic rods and mechanical details. The whip is made of low-hardness PVC material, which can be swung flexibly.
